Compost Center Information
The Township has contracted with Hellertown Borough to provide yard waste collection for Lower Saucon residents over the next five years. Beginning in Spring 2025, you may dispose of your yard waste at the site located at 2011 Springtown Hill Road. Please read the following information carefully regarding your current compost card.
Orange Card Issued from LST: You may continue to use your orange card issued to you.
Card Issued from Hellertown Borough (2023/2024): This card is no longer valid. An orange card will be mailed to your address listed on the card issued to you by Hellertown Borough.
For details on operating hours and the types of yard waste accepted, please visit Hellertown Borough's website. If you have any operational questions or concerns, please contact Hellertown Borough. The Township will keep residents informed about any site closures.
Do You Need a Compost Card?
Please follow these steps to obtain a new/replacement card:
1. Email our receptionist a copy of a current driver's license to provide proof of residency along with your phone number.
2. New Residents: Please email your current driver's license AND a current utility bill to provide proof of residency along with your phone number.
Following review of your email, an orange card will be mailed to your home address. If you prefer to pick up your card in person, please note this in your email.
If you would like to request your card in person, please feel free to visit our Township Municipal Building during our business hours with the above requirements.

Effective 2025, the site located on Polk Valley Road will no longer be accessible.
